Check-in/Check-out Times

We offer Holmlea guests a choice of two check-in times: Before 12 noon or  anytime after 5pm

Guests are more than welcome to come and drop off their luggage any time after 10am, however rooms will not be ready at this time.

For late night arrivals we have a self-entry system.

Check-out on day of departure is 10am at the very latest.

Payment/Deposit

We accept the following methods of payment:

Pound Sterling
UK cheques with guarantee card.
Travelers Cheques.
Visa, Mastercard, Switch, American Express, Maestro, Solo.

Please note we do not accept visa electron to secure bookings.

We require the following to secure a booking:

1. A valid Visa, Mastercard, Switch, American Express, Maestro, Solo.

(We do not take payment from cards at the time of booking; card details are taken to secure the booking of the room(s). Please see our cancellation policy below*)

2. Or a cheque for half the total amount of your stay made payable to Holmlea Guesthouse. Please note all cheque deposits are non-refundable.

Cancellations

We require 7 days notice in writing to cancel a booking. 
If there is a cancellation with less than 7 days notice or a no show on the day, the named cardholder at the time of booking will be charged for the total amount of the reservation.
If cancellations are made with more than 7 days notice, no payment will be taken.

We require 14 days notice in writing to cancel a group/long stay booking.
If there is a cancellation with less than 14 days notice or a no show on the day, the named cardholder at the time of booking will be charged for the total amount of the reservation.
If cancellations are made with more than 14 days notice, no payment will be taken.

Holmlea guesthouse reserves the right to charge for cancellations made in breach of our policy due to extreme weather or other unforeseeable occurrences. We strongly advise our guests to take out travel insurance to cover against such cancellations. Travel insurance can be arranged through the post office from only £5.50 for single trip cover. Loss/Damage to Property

Lost keys will be charged at £75.00. Rooms will be checked after departure and any breakages or damage will be charged to the occupant who is the named cardholder that secured the booking. Holmlea Guesthouse reserves the right to charge for damage, missing or soiled items using a new for old policy.

Smoking Policy

We have a strict no smoking policy throughout the guesthouse. Should you choose to ignore this, you will be asked to leave and will be charged for the entire length of your stay. In addition you will be charged £80 per contaminated room for specialist cleaning.

Free on-street parking

There is free, safe, unrestricted parking right outside the guesthouse in zone R45. Please check you are parked in the correct zone before leaving your vehicle. The parking permit should be displayed on your dashboard as soon as possible, as you are only allowed to park/unload for 10 mins without one. All you have to do is fill in your registration in the blank box and cross out with an X on TODAYS date including month and year (and cross out the consecutive dates that you are staying with us). Do not put an X on your departure date as the permit is valid only until 10am on your day of departure.
